OVERVIEW
A theatre in Central Europe was struggling with their wireless microphone receivers. The devices from one of the leaders in the market were connected to two switches (primary and secondary network) with a popular AoIP protocol, but the transmission was unstable, switches “forgot” their configurations and devices fell off the network and popped back randomly. As the venue was already mixing on a DiGiCo console and had their amps fed
by Optocore-capabled devices, it was self-explanatory that this problem’s solution lies within the loop too.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
1. Unparalleled transmission and operation stability
2. Plug-and-play operation
3. Occasional mobility

SOLUTION COMPONENTS
A node of an X6R-FX and two TP devices constructed. The theatre has 9 strips of four channel receivers, that sometimes travel to external locations.
The receivers were split to two racks of 16 channels and one of 4 receivers and 4 additional inputs and 8 outputs, for when need arise. This makes the systemwww.optocore.com
easily deployable at other locations, as audio and control data travels trough just one Cat5e cable. Hooking up 36 channels worth of wireless receivers is just two Cat5 cables and fibres.
The X6Rs also seamlessy integrate into the system in the sense that as they are line level devices there is virtually no difference between the signal received through the Optocore loop and
the AoIP DMI cards. The redundancy switchover can happen easily on one push of a Macro button.
